When these fibers <strong>rub against each other or against footwear<\/strong>, especially in dry environments, a certain <strong>electrical charge<\/strong> can be produced, which is released upon contact. It is similar to what happens when touching a doorknob after walking on a carpet.  <\/p>\n\n<p>This static charge usually appears in:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Very sunny terraces or attics.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Areas with low ambient humidity.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Newly installed turf.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Frequent use with insulating footwear or when walking barefoot.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Important:<\/strong> This is not a turf defect or an installation error. It is a specific physical phenomenon that is easy to control and, most of the time, can be resolved with very simple actions. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-soluciones-para-eliminar-la-electricidad-estatica-del-cesped-artificial\"><strong>Solutions to eliminate static electricity from artificial turf<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>There is no need to make major changes or invest a lot of time. With a few basic care steps, you can easily <strong>reduce or eliminate static electricity<\/strong>: <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-aporta-un-poco-de-humedad\"><strong>1. To do this:  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use a <strong>hard-bristle brush<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brush against the direction of foot traffic for best results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-tu-cesped-tiene-arena-de-silice\"><strong>3. Does your turf have silica sand?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jardinartificial.es\/en\/what-is-silica-sand-used-for\/\">Silica sand<\/a><\/strong> helps reduce static by keeping the base <strong>moist and stable<\/strong>, but it is not essential.
